This webinar, led by Richard Harman, CEO, AGBIS will look at serious cases and crises in schools from the perspective of governance. It will cover the nature of a ‘typical’ school crisis including recent patterns and trends. We will then look at how good planning can help prepare for when a crisis occurs and how best to respond and work with senior leadership to navigate a crisis successfully.
Training topics will include:
- Overview of some common issues occurring in schools, particularly in recent years.
- Planning for crises.
- Appropriate questioning for senior leadership when a crisis occurs.
- Managing boundaries to maintain the governor’s strategic role.
- Supporting senior leadership during a crisis.
- Further reporting – who, and how to report.
