Strategy days
Let us help with your strategy day
A Strategy Day is a dedicated session for governors and senior leaders to step back from day-to-day operations and focus on the long-term direction of the school. It is an opportunity to review your vision, assess priorities and agree on clear actions for the future.

How do we arrange one?
- Contact AGBIS to discuss your needs.
- We’ll help you define objectives and design a programme.
- You handle logistics; we bring expertise and facilitation.

We approached AGBIS for help and facilitation for a Board and Leadership Strategy session. AGBIS set the stage for us at a spring board meeting, refreshing our understanding of the governance responsibilities. They then worked with us over the summer and in November we had a successful and productive day bringing together the views of the governors, new head with her senior leadership team, and students to guide us to a refresh of our strategic direction. All participants went away with a joined up sense of direction and an enthusiasm for the future.
At our recent Strategy Day, the Governors and the Leadership Team of Bury Grammar School benefited from excellent facilitation by Richard Harman. Richard's expert skills ensured that we kept on time and to the point, whilst embracing questions and perspectives which enabled excellent outcomes. It was certainly a most welcome addition to our Strategy Day and one which we would not hesitate to repeat in the future.
Thank you for your continued support this year. The Headmaster and I have really enjoyed working with you over these past few months and found both the AGBIS review and Strategy days extremely beneficial, we continue to work through your recommendations and look forward to working with you again next year.
