Celebrate Excellence in Governance

Each year at our Annual Conference, AGBIS proudly recognises outstanding contributions to governance in independent schools through three prestigious awards:

  • School of the Year
  • Clerk of the Year
  • Lifetime Achievement Award

This year’s awards will be presented at the QEII Centre, Westminster, London, on 19 March 2026, at the start of the afternoon session. Shortlisted nominees will be notified in advance and invited to attend this special event.

Why Nominate?

The AGBIS Awards shine a spotlight on schools and individuals who demonstrate:

  • Exceptional governance practice
  • Commitment to training and strategic leadership
  • Positive engagement with AGBIS and the wider sector

Whether you’re nominating your own school or recognising someone else’s achievements, this is your chance to celebrate excellence and inspire others.

How It Works

  • A panel of AGBIS representatives and sector experts will review all nominations
  • Winners will be announced at the ceremony
  • Schools and individuals can nominate themselves or others
