It focuses on the board’s collective role in supporting EDI, particularly through more inclusive recruitment practices and the ongoing work of creating a board culture where a range of voices can thrive. It will include practical advice for attracting and retaining diverse governors, and will also touch on how the board can oversee EDI efforts across the school using the “Trust but Verify” approach to maintain both support and accountability.
