This session will enable participants to gain a clear understanding of:

• What is Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and why it is so important?
• A ‘Whole School Approach’ to EDI
• Embedding an equal, diverse and inclusive culture
• The importance of diversity on the Board

The session will also include a focus on the ‘Towards an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy’ – a resource for governors produced by AGBIS and Farrers & Co (which can be found on the homepage of the AGBIS website here), specifically Appendix 1 which contains questions which governors can use as tools to inform the assessment of what actions need to be taken in terms of EDI in their schools.
