Welcome to the AGBIS website.

AGBIS provides authoritative guidance, essential training and other member services for school governing bodies in the independent sector. We are available for support on any aspect of governance to individual Chairs as well as to all other governors and, of course, Heads and Clerks/ Bursars. The school itself is our member, but you as an individual are very welcome to contact us for an informal discussion on any aspect of governance as needed - and/ or to attend one of our many and varied webinars, seminars, conferences and the like. You will find details of these, as well as a bank of useful resources and contact details, on this excellent website. Whether or not you are new to the position of Chair, there will always be something more to learn about this vital, multi-faceted role; we are here to support you and to share best practice.
