Learning from the IICSA investigation into residential school settings - https://www.sacpa.org.uk/events/

April 28, 2021, 09:30-16:30

This one-day event, led jointly by Sacpa and BSA, and in association with independent safeguarding expert, Marcus Erooga, aims to highlight the major themes and key learning points from the residential schools’ investigation as part of the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA). The conference is designed to enable delegates to be proactive in their responses to these areas of concern in advance of the publication of the inquiry report. Topics will include listening to survivors, insight into abuse in residential schools, looking beyond inspection, peer-on-peer abuse and working with your local authority or council. This is a must attend for residential school DSLs and senior leaders but is also relevant for all schools to reflect on the learnings and consider their own provision.
