General Secretary
Stuart Westley, General Secretary is Chairman of Governors of two preparatory schools and a Governor of one senior school. He was Master of Haileybury for 13 years and Principal of King William's College, Isle of Man, for 7 years.
Training & Membership Secretary
Nigel Noble, Training & Membership Secretary was Bursar of The Lady Eleanor Holles School and Clerk to the Governors of the Cripplegate Schools Foundation. Prior to these roles he carried out a similar appointment at Woking College (FE Sector). He was a governor of Lindisfarne College. His first career was in the Army.
Office Manager
Rose Windler, Office Manager joined AGBIS in August 2009. For some years Rose was a Headteacher’s PA and Clerk to Governors at a secondary school, and was a parent governor at a Welwyn Garden City maintained secondary school for 5 years. Prior to joining AGBIS she worked in local primary schools teaching Bridge and ran the Number Partner scheme.
Accounts & Communications Manager
Carol Carty, Accounts & Communications Manager joined AGBIS in August 2010. Before taking a degree in Business Studies she worked as IT Technician in a secondary school. She is responsible for the administration of the e-Learning course for new governors.
Chair
Sam Alder is a governor of Lancing College, a Trustee of the Woodard Corporation and a former Chairman of Governors of King William's College, Isle of Man. He is the AGBIS nominee on the ISC Board. Formerly he was Chair of the Arts Council in the Isle of Man and a former Deputy Chair of Prince Edward's Special Projects Committee of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Sam is a chartered accountant and holds various corporate positions in the music publishing industry.
Joint Vice Chairs
June Taylor is a governor of Godolphin & Latymer School, St Mary's School Shaftesbury and Sherborne Preparatory School. Until her retirement, she was Headmistress of a large girls' boarding school and represented the interests of GSA, BSA and IAPS schools during service on various committees. She is currently the Chair of the ISI Board.
Richard Green is Chair of the Governing Body of Prior's Field. Formerly he was Chair of the Governing Body of Royal Russell School and a governor of Danes Hill, a large preparatory school. He is a chartered accountant and formerly a partner of Ernst & Young. Among his corporate roles he was Chair of Breguet Watches.
Honorary Treasurer
Charles Paull is Chair of the Governing Body of Kimbolton School. He is a chartered accountant and was, for the last 20 years of his career, Director of Accounting for British Telecom.
