Committee and Staff - 2008/09

Chairmen

Mr Sam Alder is a member of Governing Council of ISC.  FCA.  Chartered Accountant and Company Director in media and entertainment industry.  Previous charitable activities include Founder and Chairman of the Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy charity and Deputy Chairman of Prince Edward’s Special Projects Committee of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. .  Chairman of the Arts Council and the Young Citizen’s fund in the Isle of Man.  Business interests include Isle of Man Creamery, Sefton Group of Hotels and 3FM Radio. Chairman of the board of King William’s College since 1997 where he has been a governor/trustee since 1985.  Areas of expertise:  Financial and managerial, Charity management and administration, young peoples’ organizations and agriculture.

Joint Deputy Chairman

Miss June Taylor is a governor of Godolphin & Latymer School, Mill Hill School and Sherborne Preparatory School.  Until her retirement, she was a Headmistress of a large girls' boarding school and has represented the interests of GSA, BSA and IAPS schools during service on various committees.  She is currently the Chairman of the ISI Committee.

Richard Green is on the Governing Body of Prior's Field School and Danes Hill Prep School, he is a chartered accountant.  He is also a Director of ISC.

Honorary Treasurer

Charles Paull is Chairman of Governors of Kimbolton School.  He is a chartered accountant and was, for the last 20 years of his career, Director of Accounting for British Telecom.

General Secretary

Shane Rutter-Jerome is a governor of Dauntsey's School and former Bursar and Secretary to the Governing Body at Cranleigh School.  Prior to that he spent 30 years in the Army and retired as a Brigadier. 

Training and Membership Secretary

Nigel Noble OBE took up this appointment on 1st September 2007, following 10 years as Bursar of Lady Eleanor Holles School.

PA and Office Manager

Caroline Higton  joined AGBIS in November 2006 following many years working as a PA and Office Manager in London
