On-site Training and Strategy Days

We deliver onsite training and strategy days tailored to meet your governors' needs

Inviting one of the experienced AGBIS trainers to conduct on-site training at your school is an easy and cost effective way to meet all your governors' training requirements and bring them up to date on issues affecting the independent schools sector. These highly interactive sessions can be arranged at a time and date to suit the school and generally prove to be a very positive team building experience for the Governing Body and allow governors the opportunity to consider collectively sector wide issues and relate them to the needs of their school.

Thank you very much for delivering governor training at the School last week. All present found your presentation excellent. It was perfectly clear, without waffle and with just the right amount of anecdote from elsewhere to underline relevant points. The training session was a positive experience for us and set up well for our subsequent strategy discussion.

Mark Pyper, Chairman Beaudesert Park School and former Headmaster Gordonstoun

Details of the programme are at the link below; the complete programme is designed to fit into a morning or afternoon session of between 2-3 hours, with a short break in the middle, but any length of session can be arranged to suit the school.

Let us help with your strategy day

AGBIS’s highly experienced staff can also help you to organise your strategy days.  This could be by providing ideas and suggesting activities that you can arrange yourselves or, if you would prefer, they can help you plan and then facilitate a bespoke strategy day for you.

We approached AGBIS for help and facilitation for a Board and Leadership Strategy session.  AGBIS set the stage for us at a spring board meeting, refreshing our understanding of the governance responsibilities.  They then worked with us over the summer and in November we had a successful and productive day bringing together the views of the governors, new head with her senior leadership team, and students to guide us to a refresh of our strategic direction.  All participants went away with a joined up sense of direction and an enthusiasm for the future.
